Pottery on the wheel

If you don’t mind getting your hands dirty, this is the course for you! The potter’s wheel has always intrigued people from all walks of life; so come and enjoy pottery classes at The Artwork Shop, where you will experience a fun and therapeutic time.

The Pottery Course
The course is divided into “Pottery on the Wheel” and “Hand-building” classes and are fun and wholesome activities, in which the students unleash their pic4inner energy and creativity.
The courses cover many techniques for beginners and people who have worked with clay and the wheel before. Different approaches to thrown forms will be learned, as well as clay preparation and centering methods, and wheel-work skills.
Not only will the students create different kinds of lidded containers and other works of art, but also produce clay forms using various techniques. Different brushes and tools used in pottery will be established, hand building skills will be practiced, and firing and glazing will be shown.

The Pottery Course is a monthly course, once a week, two hours long.
For beginners, it is preferable to be enrolled in the Hand-building classes first.

 

 

HAND BUILDING

Not only will the student create different kinds of lidded containers and other works of art, but also produce clay forms using various techniques. Different brushes and tools used in pottery will be established, hand building skills will be practiced, and firing and glazing will be shown.
